Straightening the teeth is a common desire for both teenagers and adults, but the idea of metal appliances on the teeth often keeps patients from asking their dentist about their options. Fortunately, now there are more options for teeth straightening with clear braces.
With continued advances in orthodontia and dentistry, Dr. Chase Larsen and his team at Chase Inspired Dentistry, Draper, Utah, can now provide results with clear aligner trays known as Invisalign.
Dr. Chase Larsen describes Invisalign as a series of customized, removable clear aligners that fit comfortably over your teeth. Invisalign is a unique and specialized system developed to correct various types of bite issues, including overcrowding, gaps in the teeth, and crookedness. Dr. Chase Larsen starts by creating a digital 3D model of your smile to show you how it will look after treatment with Invisalign through our special computerized software. If you decide that Invisalign is right for you, trays will be created from the Invisalign laboratory for you to use to gently reposition the teeth in the smile.
Patient compliance is critical to ensuring you get the results you desire. Patients who regularly wear their Invisalign trays for 22 hours a day and follow the schedule developed with Dr. Chase Larsen will see great results of a straighter smile in about 12 months. As you progress through each tray, teeth begin to move into the desired position. Each patient is given three to four aligners at a time to use, and the number of trays for each patient varies depending on the severity of the misalignment being corrected.
At Chase Inspired Dentistry, Dr. Chase Larsen and his team are dedicated to helping patients achieve the smile they’ve always wanted–without the need for traditional metal braces.
